11.0 Best to Worst (0000/0/0): My ranking of every movie I have finished in order of how worthy of your time they are, based on my opinion. If you are looking for recommendations then go from top to bottom until you find something you haven't seen before. This should be the default order, unless you pressed a button or if I fucked something up (likely). I will add some starter pack images and infographics soon.
10.0 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) (2025/10/29): This really doesn't feel like a 60 year old movie. The visual effects in this film look better than a majority of the films shot today. The antagonist of this story is among the most mysterious in all of fiction. The score is iconic to the point of being a meme. If you haven't seen this movie I would recommend doing no further research and just watching it. Kubrick films are considered the best for a reason.
9.4 Inland Empire (2006) (2025/10/31): David Lynch's masterpiece. The Criterion version of this is using a terrible AI upscale, go for the older Bluray version if you can. Don't look up anything more about this film, just go watch it when you have 3 spare hours.
8.8 Hausu (1977) (2025/10/30): Wouldn't even classify this as a horror movie, other than tropes it employs. I think it was trying to be genuine a psychedelic horror, but through the language barrier and all the lsd I'm can't say that for certain. But what I can say for certain is that this movie is chaotic, surreal and a lot of fun. If you aren't afraid of weird shit then it's a must see.
8.0 12 Angry Men (1957) (2025/12/02): A locked down, courtroom drama that is well acted. The story beats were somewhat predictable and the pacing was a bit too fast for the story. The runtime being only 90 minutes is what hurt this movie the most, maybe film was expensive in 1957, maybe they thought the audiences would lose interest if they fully fleshed out the concepts that were only hinted at. What I do know is that this movie would have been a lot stronger if it had been an hour longer. A solid movie, I would even say it's worth watching, but it is not a must see bucketlist movie like it is portrayed by some.
6.7 Sarah's Oil (2025) (2025/11/19): The emotional manipulation was so transparent that it didn't bother me, as I was able to ignore it. Jim Crow as told by Disney. The narrativization was thankfully left mostly to the character interactions and the historic aspects of the film were mostly unmolested. I wonder how long it will take for this style of movie to fall out of fashion, if it hasn't already.
4.8 Butterfly Kisses (2018) (2025/12/07): A very ambitious premise that involves a meta documentary about a documentary about a documentary. The acting in this movie is straight out of an elementary school play. The timing, the delivery of lines, the look of the film, all of it is just terrible.
4.7 V/H/S/Halloween (2025) (2025/11/24): By far the weakest entry in the series, I would say skip this one even if you like this series. There were a couple of moderately entertaining scenes, but there was nothing scary in this.
4.6 Troll Hunter (2010) (2025/12/04): This movie is bad, even by found footage standards. I think that the premise of having a found footage based on some medieval fairy tale is actually a good concept when executed properly. The problem is the formulaic execution. If you speak Norwegian you could probably follow this film while reading a book or doing something else, it is that predictable. I do not recommend watching this under any context.
3.4 The Conjuring: Last Rites (2025) (2025/11/27): This is basically just a verbatim copy of the story of the first conjuring movie, with all of the weaknesses, and even less strengths than the first movie. Unserious, terrible looking, CGI monsters attack the warren family as Ed is pulled out of retirement for one last job. ZOMG NOSTALGIA-esque period piece, that tries to use a stylized meta-nostalgia for 2000s era 80s nostalgia to distract you from the lack of anything interesting in this movie.

Yes I did do the HTML myself how could you tell?
