Besuto tu Wasuto |
Best to Worst |
(1969/4/20): My ranking of every anime I have finished in order of how worthy
of your time they are, based on my opinion. We are using the IGN
method of scoring, by restricting everything to a 7. If you are looking
for recommendations then this is the list you want. Go top to bottom
until you find something you haven't seen before. This should be the
default order, unless you pressed a button or if I fucked something up (likely). |

gdgd Fairies 2 |
(2025/07/04): They actually made the second season even better than the first.
I am not even sure if this qulifies as an anime, as it's mostly 3DCG,
but if does then it is one of the best. When you think of surreal media
it is usually in the horror or a horror adjacent genre, but the closest
conventional genre you could assign to this would be comedy. |

Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu |
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation |
(2025/06/15): What a stupid fucking name for an anime, in english and in japanese. Jobless
Honkey Desu. This anime will make every other isekai seem shitty in comparison. There was only
a single moment of bizzare 3DCG wheat in a field but, other than that, the visuals
are some of the best of this century. They take the important parts of the story
seriously, without those fucking terrible marvel tier quips that every isekai
has now. The tone of this one reminds me of a lot of early 2000s anime. Degenerate. |

ENDRO! |
Endro! |
(2025/10/28): An interesting fusion of genres, fantasy and slice of life with some comedy and CGDCT
mixed in. It leans way more into the slice of life and comedy elements than being a straight
fantasy anime, so if you are expecting that then you will be dissapointed. I think
I would have prefered that, but what we got was still pretty good. This show is very
light hearted, there are almost no stakes, everything was well animated.

Spy x Family |
Spy x Family |
(2025/10/28): Season 1 spends way too much time on a fundamentally uninteressting main plot.
The side quest where Anya is trying to stop a dog from running away is more engaging
then whatever repetitive nonsense is happening at the royal academy. I am fine with
the academy stuff being unresolved at the end of Season 1 if it's being used as a
vehicle for the plot as a whole, but Season 2 better have more going on.

Loop 7-kaime no Akuyaku Reijou wa, Moto Tekikoku de Jiyuu Kimama na Hanayome Seikatsu wo Mankitsu suru |
7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy! |
(2025/10/24): These otome villainess isekai anime are so similar I can not tell them apart,
but this one is the best out of the ones that I have seen so far, I think. It does have some
levity, but not the obnoxious=funny kind of humour. No academy arc shenanigans, thank god.
A large part of the story focuses on romance, which I didn't mind. The character design
ranges from bad to generic. If you like female centered romance and you also like
battle shounen style combat, then maybe check this out, it's not a must see. |

Isekai Mokushiroku Mynoghra: Hametsu no Bunmei de Hajimeru Sekai Seifuku |
Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra: World Conquest Starts with the Civilization of Ruin |
(2025/09/28): An isekai based on Civ type 4X games instead of DQ, finally something different.
Had an interesting premise and started out strong, but S1 stalled somewhat in the
last third, introducing some stupid enemy that no one cared about, instead of
exploring what made the series seem so interesting at the start, Mynoghra's
interaction with existing nations in the world. I am still optimistic that
season 2 will yield something worth watching. Dissapointing. |

Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! |
The Eminence in Shadow |
(2025/10/10): Starts out with one of the worst first episodes, intentional cringe is still
cringe. The writers seem to think that playing every trope and cliche as straight
as possible is what makes something funny, and it works sometimes, like with his
engrish catchphrase, but most of the time it is just terrible. The interesting
parts of the story are seeing how his various alternate identities interact with
each other and the characters that he has interacted with as other versions of himself.
Unfortunately that makes up maybe 1/3 of the runtime, while the rest is given to
royal academy nonsense that you could get in any other anime. Overrated.

Makai Toshi Shinjuku |
Demon City Shinjuku |
(2025/10/27): If you want to watch some beautiful cel anime then that is the only reason to consider
watching this. The premise is terrible, the plot is terrible, the music is terrible,
the characters are the definition of generic. There are consitently impressive
visuals throughout the movie though, it is a Madhouse production afterall.
At 79 minutes, it's not unbearable. If this were half an hour longer I would
have said don't bother at all.

Corpse Party: Tortured Souls Bougyakusareta Tamashii no Jukyou |
Corpse Party: Tortured Souls |
(2025/06/17): Not entertainingly bad, just bad. Character backstories copy and pasted from
a template. 1 dimensional cardboard cutout characters. Atrocious looking 3DCG.
The only good thing I have to say about this one is that it's short. Even with
OVA, it's only 2 hours of your time completely wasted.
